Join the Mechanical Services Team (Bomaderry Depot) in the provision of services by providing multi skilled technical knowledge and experience to diagnose, repair and maintain Council’s assets in accordance with maintenance schedules, customer service level requirements and appropriate safety and quality standards.

The Technical Officer Assets is responsible for ensuring that Shoalhaven Water has accurate asset data with regard to attributes (quantity, location, age, type), condition and defects to enable the identification and development of renewal and replacement programs and funding needs. He/she will also assist in the development and implementation of the maintenance and capital programs for Shoalhaven Water utilising the Conquest asset management system.

Council is seeking suitably qualified applicants for our Administrative Casual Pool. Successful applicants will be engaged on a day to day basis and may be required to work at various Council locations (Nowra, Bomaderry, Woollamia or Ulladulla).
A Secretarial or Office Administration qualification or at least three (3) years relevant work experience is a requirement as is a current driver’s licence. Applicants are required to demonstrate skills in the use of the Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook), possess effective oral and written communication skills and have a customer service focus.
A skills confirmation test will be used in the recruitment process.

This is a key position within Shoalhaven
Water, a business unit of Shoalhaven City Council, reporting directly to the
Director Shoalhaven Water and has strong links between the Planning and
Development and Customer and Support Services sections of Shoalhaven Water.
This role will require, under limited direction, to manage the operational
and strategic goals of Shoalhaven Water by undertaking responsibility for
the efficient and effective management, operation, continuous improvement
and minor construction services for all Shoalhaven Water facilities.
