Return to Waste Management Home Page Return to Household Waste & Recycling 2008/09 Tipping vouchers are now valid until July 31st 2009. The voucher can be used at any Recycling and Waste Depot at anytime of the year during normal Depot opening hours. At a non weighbridge site 1 voucher will entitle the ratepayer to dispose of up to 1 cubic metre (approximately one 6 x 4 trailer) which is equivalent to 1 domestic trailer load per visit. (see charges board) Non weighbridge sites in the Shoalhaven area are;- Berry, Bendalong, Sussex Inlet, Kangaroo Valley, Lake Conjola, Kioloa and Callala. At a weighbridge site 1 voucher will entitle the ratepayer to dispose of up to 300kg per visit, which is the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) standard weight for a trailer load of domestic waste. Weighbridge sites in the Shoalhaven area are:- West Nowra, Huskisson and Ulladulla. The voucher is not redeemable for cash, but can be used in a part payment when the load exceeds the voucher value. No change is given from a voucher/s.
Please Note.....Separated recyclables are accepted free of charge year round at all Recycling and Waste Depots This includes items such as scrap metal, car bodies, fridges, washing machines, car batteries, & motor oil (up to 20 litres). There is also no charge for the disposal of goods that are considered worthy of re-sale by the depot supervisor. These include, but are not restricted to: furniture, building materials, toilets, baths, toys, books, sporting equipment, crockery, bric-a-brac etc.
