New Services

Any request made for the start of a new waste & recycling service MUST be made by the owner of the property.  Once the property has selected a bin size, Council will then instruct SITA (Council's Waste & Recycling contractor) to organise the delivery of the bins.  This occurs within 5 working days.

Once this is done, the charge is allocated against the property Rates Notice.

Bin Sizes

Council's standard service consists of a 120ltr red-lid waste bin and a 240ltr yellow-lid recycle bin. Council have three different bins sizes which ratepayers may select for their waste storage. They are:

  • 80ltr -  $165.00 per annum

  • 120ltr - $204.00 per annum

  • 240ltr - $340.00 per annum

Each bin service is accompanied by a yellow-lid 240ltr recycle.

Bin Repairs

All bin repairs are repaired by Council's contractor SITA at no cost to the resident.

Bin repair enquiries can be directed to SITA  4423 1711, the Hotline below or entered online.

Bin Upgrades

Only the property owner can upgrade the size of the bin.

A $21 administration fee must to be paid upfront before the instruction is passed onto the contractor to have the bins exchanged.

The additional fee (depending on the size of bin) will be made on the owner's Rate Notice.

An amended Rate Notice will be forwarded to the owner from Councils Rates Department advising of the new rate instalments.

Bin Downsizes

Only the property owner can downgrade the size of the bin.

The reduction of the fee (depending on the size of bin) will be made on the owners Rate Notice.

An amended Rate Notice will be forwarded from Council's Rates Department advising of the new rate instalments.

Bins placed on the kerbside after the truck has serviced the street will not be collected.  However, if your bins have been missed for other reasons, please contact SITA Council's contractor  4423 1711 or use the online form.
