Native: Tree Violet

Return to:

"A spreading shrub to 3m tall Tree Violet occurs on the edges of rainforest or beside streams. Leaves are toothed with thorns present along braches".
Ref: Robinson.Les (1991) Field Guide to the Native Plants of Sydney, 2nd Ed. Kangaroo Press

Often found growing occurring alongside Privet, Native Violet with is large thorns can be difficult to work around. The plant will tolerate some pruning if safety is an issue. Please avoid damaging any natives whilst undertaking Privet control.

Even those nuisance ones with thorns!
