Wattamolla
Residents have made good use of the Privet Team with nine
landowners so far benefiting from the free labour. Favourable comments
have been made on the amount of Privet that can be treated in one day.
Piles of cut branches such as the one in the photo can be mulched where
there no seeds attached and the larger logs make an average firewood. Some
landowners have supplemented their cattle's feed while at the same time
reducing the bulk of the pile. Other options for dealing with the
resulting woody waste includes transporting it to the tip or burning it at
a later stage. Contact your local Rural Fire Service for permits.
