The middle ground features a stand of treated Large Leaved Privets. Referred to as “Ghosts” by local Bush Regenerator Jay Windsor, it provides a stark contrast with the new life in the regenerating understorey. The technique used here is referred to as “frilling” and is suitable for those remote areas where removal is not feasible or warranted. This strategy will only be suitable for areas where dead trees will not present a public safety issue.
