On Fri 15th Nov John and son George took time out from dairying to work with the Privet team. Both Large and Small Leaved Privet was targeted along a currently dry watercourse. Some native species growing among the weeds included Cheese Tree (Glochidion ferdinandi), Little Breynia (Breynia oblongifolia) and Whalebone Tree (Streblus brunonianus). These were rescued from certain smothering and will be left to provide shade and shelter for stock in the future.
