Landuse - 2006Home | Land | Land Use & Management | Land Use | 2006 What does the Data tell us for 2000 - 2006Landuse in the Shoalhaven is broadly categorised into areas of Urban, Agricultural, Rural, Special Uses (eg Defence), Commonwealth, Open Space, Environmental Protection, National Park and State Forest. The main changes in landuse since 1999/2000 have been the changes in land tenure due to the Regional Forestry Agreement. Under this, a significant amount of land was transferred to from State Forest and Crown Land to National Park and Nature Reserves. The main urban areas of the Shoalhaven include; Nowra, Bomaderry, Berry, Kangaroo Valley and Shoalhaven Heads in the north, Culburra, Vincentia, Huskisson and Callala around Jervis Bay, Sanctuary Point and St Georges Basin District on the edge of St Georges Basin and Milton, Ulladulla, Bawley Point and Kioloa in the south.
