Actions undertaken:

Northern Foreshore Erosion study completed 2002. Remediation at John Williams Reserve completed 2005.

Remediation of Paradise Beach completed 2005

Pat’s Bay acid sulphate remediation and foreshore rehabilitation completed 2006

Stormwater Management Plan: significant review and reprioritisation from capture and treatment to source control implementation substantially commenced 2004, but ongoing in 2005 and 2006. Requires extensive road verge sealing to improve stormwater quality discharging from urban areas

Funding obtained for catchment event sampling which was carried out through the year and will be completed in November 2002

Joint work with Geoscience Australia Identified that the “Basin’s” nutrient cycling capacity is in balance with the nutrient inputs (based on modelling by SCC). Monitoring continues.
