What does the Data tell us for 2000/2004
Approximately 82% of the
Shoalhaven is still covered by vegetation. Shoalhaven is constantly updating
areas of mapping to gain a more accurate picture of vegetation diversity and
cover across the Local Government Area (LGA). Shoalhaven consists of a high
vegetation diversity and recent studies have identified over 132 communities.
The following table (Table 8) gives the most recent figures for the amount of each broad
vegetation group that exists in the LGA and the percentage of each vegetation
group as part of the total vegetated area of the LGA.
