• A new draft City-wide LEP is being prepared that will control development and guide planning decisions made by Council and will incorporate the strategic direction outlined in the Nowra Bomaderry Structure Plan and other strategy plans. This document is currently a work in progress.
   
• Access Areas For Dogs Policy – Proposed Amendment for Nowra Showground.
   
• Shoalhaven City Council is preparing a comprehensive management plan for the entire coastal zone of the City, stretching 165 km from Shoalhaven Heads to North Durras.
  
  Council’s coastal management responsibilities include land use zoning, development assessment, management of parks and reserves, beach safety, emergency services, vegetation management and waste management.
   
• Preparation of Shoalhaven Pedestrian Access & Mobility Plan (PAMP) Stage 2 and Review of Shoalhaven Bicycle Strategy. The PAMP Stage 2 will look at the pedestrian needs in the remaining urban areas of the City, outside the areas covered in Stage 1. Again, PAMP Stage 2 will also present a list of works required to improve pedestrian access and mobility in these areas. Also, as part of this project, the need to establish a City wide priority listing for required pedestrian improvement works and opportunities for integration with projects/works identified in the Shoalhaven Bicycle Strategy will be addressed.

• Shoalhaven City Council is a member of the Southern Councils Group. One of the important issues currently affecting this group is the state of the Princes Highway. PHocus is a taskforce  working together to expedite improvements to the Highway.
