Floods and Storms – 132 500 

State Emergency Services (SES) – 132 500

The SES is the lead agency for flood and storm emergencies. Over 10,000 SES volunteers respond throughout the State to flood and storm emergencies and assist other emergency agencies when needed. Shoalhaven has over 165 volunteers with 120 located in Nowra and 45 in Ulladulla. Contact SES for assistance involving private property such as trees that may have come down on your roof or if you require assistance during floods. Council is responsible for public places such as parks and roads. Ring Council for advice and assistance about storm and flood damage to public places. Council's contact number after hours for emergencies only is (02) 4421 3100

Tsunami – 132 500

The SES is responsible for the dissemination of tsunami warnings and any required evacuations. There are two different types of warnings related to Tsunami. A Marine and Foreshore warning requires people to move away from beaches, rock platforms and harbours. A land inundation warning requires people to move to areas that are above 10m elevation and greater than 1 km from the coast. Roads and traffic information

RTA – 131 700

To report traffic incidents and road conditions call 131 700. For traffic information call 132 701. The RTA website has live traffic reports and provides information about road closures, changed traffic conditions, accidents and other events.
