Local Government week is here again from 1 to 6 August 2011.  This years theme is “Empowering Communities” and a variety of activities have been planned.  The list includes a debate between Councillors and Bomaderry High School students, Eco tours and tours of the Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre, Arts Centre, Leisure centres, water and waste services.

LG week is coordinated by the Local Government and Shires Associations and is designed to give Councils an opportunity to promote the importance of Local Government in the community.  This years theme “Empowering Communities’ was chosen to allow Councils to showcase their services that help make the most of local communities.
