Need some inspiration about what to read next?  Here are some places to go for ideas

  • Novelist (new window)- this is a fiction and non-fiction database with information on more than 135,000 book titles.  You can search for information by author, title or series and locate lists of award-winning books.(On next screen click on 'Connect' and if accessing from home enter your library card number and password [your date of birth])
  • Books & Authors (new window) - this website provides information about authors, titles and genres and helps in choosing what to read next.
  • Author Lists - check out this list if you're looking for author readalikes, for example, other authors who write like Jodi Picoult, Michael Connelly, James Patterson, Nora Roberts, ...
  • New Releases (new window) - check out the newly purchased titles available at the library (On library catalogue click on 'New Items List' on left hand side)

Trove (new window) is an online search engine designed by the National Library of Australia that lets you access content from the National Library, State Libraries and over 1000 other libraries from all over Australia.  At the click of a button you can access a large and unrivalled repository of Australian material including books, newspapers, journals, theses, maps, photos and music.
