Legal Tool Kit

This is a collection of plain language books to answer everyday questions about the law.  The subjects covered include:
  • renting
  • wills and estates
  • family law
  • drink driving
  • facing a criminal charge in court
  • neighbours and the law
  • bankruptcy, debt and credit problems
  • consumer law.
We have a variety of legal information available at Nowra, Sanctuary Point and Ulladulla Libraries, including pamphlets, handbooks in plain English and legal texts. In addition, some of the most well used and useful Tool Kit titles are available online in full text (new window).  Our librarians are also happy to help with any query that you may have. Hot Topics: legal issues in plain language

Hot Topics is a plain language series about recent changes and current debates in the law. Four new issues are published each year and include case studies and sources of further information. Nowra Library holds copies of this publication for loan and for reference.  Some of the Hot Topics publications are also available to view online (new window).

National Legislation & Case Law (new window) - Australian legal information resources, such as legislation and case law.
