Australia Day 2009 Awards

As part of the Australia Day celebrations for 2009, Shoalhaven City Council in conjunction with the Australia Day Council (NSW) will be presenting two Citizen Awards and two Sports Awards to residents of the Shoalhaven City area. The aim of the award is to recognise outstanding contributions to the local community for the citizen award and the contributions of individual sportspersons to the standard and quality of Australian sport for the sports award during 2008.

How to Enter

Complete the Nomination Form (Citizen or Sports) and print.

Ensure that both the Candidate and the Nominator have signed the printed copy of the Nomination Form.
Forward the signed Nomination Form and any attachments to the

Closing Date

Nominations must be received at the above address by 5.00 pm on Friday, 28^th November 2008.

Eligibility

All persons (other than previous winners of the award), who are residents of the Shoalhaven City area at the time of nomination, are eligible to be nominated.
Persons who have previously been nominated but have not received an Australia Day Award are eligible to be nominated again.
Individuals cannot nominate themselves.
Individuals, associations or clubs can nominate a Candidate.
Only individuals may be nominated. The nomination of a club or association or any other organisation will not be accepted.

Judging

Entries will be judged by a local panel of judges. The judges’ decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Winners of awards will be announced on Australia Day 2009.
